It is Christian Fellowship’s 42-year tradition to take a “mini-vacation” together over Labor Day weekend; this year it is Friday, August 30, through Monday, September 2.  We rendezvous at the Green Lake Conference Center (GLCC) in Green Lake, Wisconsin.  This is a beautiful facility with 900 acres of lake, woods and rolling hills.  It is a loosely-structured weekend with a few “must-see” events.  Check-in starts Friday at 4:00PM, but feel free to use the grounds before this time.  Saturday is chocked full of optional outings such as the infamous flea market or golfing at the renowned Lawsonia Golf Course.  Saturday evening is “Testimony Night,” where we gather together to give thanks to the Lord for what He has done in our lives during the past year.  Sunday is church, followed by our baptism service.  The afternoon is used for napping and visiting.  We cap off the weekend Sunday night with “Late Night Green Lake,” an evening filled with fellowship, food and lots of laughter.

More details will be made available online as we get closer to September.  This will include maps and directions, area activities, etc.  To get this information a little sooner, or to obtain pricing for the various activities at Green Lake Conference Center, go directly to their website at Information, including cost, is available in the office. Reservations need to be made through Tammy Peterkort or Kathy Carr.

The accommodations at GLCC range from rustic (camping) to comfortable (cabins) to stylish (luxury homes and hotels).  All accommodations, except hotel rooms, are for a three-night stay and will be charged accordingly. There is something to fit every budget and family size:

Campsites:  sleep up to 7 (cost: $101-$161 for the weekend).

Cabins:  sleep 4-8 people, depending on the cabin (cost: $275-$620 for the weekend).

Houses:  various sized bedrooms (cost: $80-$168 per person for the weekend).

Hotel Rooms:  sleep 4 (cost: $114 per night for 2 adults; children under 20 from the same family do not pay extra.  Children over 20 or additional adults will be charged an extra $15 per night per person.)  There is absolutely no cooking at the hotel!

Off-Campus Fee:  for those staying off the grounds, there is a $5 per person per day fee.  Please let us know if you will be having off-campus guests visit you any time during the weekend.

A $50 deposit is required, which includes a $20 non-refundable family activity fee for each reservation. We cannot take your reservation without a deposit.  The number in your party must include everyone, even newborns.

Experienced Green Lakers have first choice of the previous year’s accommodations, but only if you register by April 14.

Because space is limited, if the number in your party is less than the accommodation allows, you may be asked to share a space. (This should be expected with all large houses.)  If you do not wish to share a space, you must say so at sign up, and you will need to pay for the unused beds in the rooms you utilize.

  • Meals are not provided for in CF’s contract. Please plan on bringing your own food.

  • Pets are only allowed in the campgrounds for tent and trailer campers (not allowed for cabin renters). Owners are responsible for cleaning up after them and keeping them leashed and quiet.

  • The use of alcoholic beverages is not permitted on the grounds.

  • All indoor facilities are smoke-free.

  • Rooms, cabins and houses have occupancy limits which comply with state fire and health codes. All children, regardless of age, are included in occupancy counts. A list of all occupants is required for insurance purposes and in the event of an emergency.

  • Overnight room, cabin and house guests receive a discount off regular rates at the Golf Courses of Lawsonia.

  • Tents and trailers are not allowed in cabin or house areas.

  • No off-road vehicles are to be used on the grounds. Skateboards, roller skates and roller blades are allowed in outlying areas only.

  • Information about accessibility of buildings and campgrounds is available if you need special assistance.

In the event you do not wish to make full payment right away (most do not), following is the payment schedule.  Your deposit is due with your registration, and the second payment is due Sunday, June 2.  The final payment must be made by Sunday, July 21.

If you register for Green Lake on or after June 3, the deposit will be combined with the second payment.  The amounts due will be emailed to you by Kathy Carr.  If you have questions, please email Kathy at

Anyone canceling a reservation by July 7 will be issued a refund, less the family activity fee.  The church is financially responsible for any housing we commit to after that date.  If you cancel after this date and are unable to fill your housing, we will still require your full payment.

If needed, last-minute reservations are possible in the on-site hotels (book through the CF office); there are also a variety of hotels in the area that take last-minute reservations.

Please note that if you stay off-campus, you will incur the $5/person/day charge. Please reserve your day stays with Kathy or Tammy.

If you would like to arrive prior to Friday or stay later than Monday, please let Kathy Carr know as soon as possible. We will need your full payment for the extra days before we can make the reservation.

All children, ages birth through 17, will need to have a current CF Church Medical Release Form . New forms will be mailed out in early summer to all families in our database.

If your child is 18, you need only complete the Green Lake Medical Release Form .

If you are bringing a guest (someone not in your immediate family) who is 18 years or younger, their parent(s) will need to complete two Medical Release Forms—the Christian Fellowship version as well as the Green Lake Medical Release Form. You can print these forms from the links provided here, from Kathy Carr or the church office.

If you need to make any changes to your reservation, such as names of people in your group, date arriving, etc., please contact Kathy Carr right away. Green Lake requires a list of each person we bring and needs to know where they are staying. This is for insurance and fire code purposes, so we must cooperate with this.

If you are sharing a house and want to schedule an activity, you must first check with the other people staying in your house.  Kathy or Tammy can provide you with a list of your housemates.

If you would like to have an activity added to the Green Lake schedule, please contact Tammy Peterkort in the church office.
