– MISSION STATEMENT –

To lead inmates incarcerated at the McHenry County Jail to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and to encourage their walk with Him.

“I was in prison and you came to visit me.” – Matthew 25:36b

– WHAT WE DO –

Christian Fellowship Volunteers serve in the McHenry County Jail interdenominational Christian ministry called “Helping Hands”. Volunteers minister to inmates and their families in the following ways:

  • Preaching and teaching at weekly inmate church services

  • Counseling and praying with inmates during weekly chaplain visitation times

  • Participating in Bible Studies and classes offered to inmates

  • Assisting with mail Bible correspondence courses for inmates

  • Participating with Celebrate Recovery focused on changing self destructive behavior

  • Participating with Angel Tree which is focused on providing and delivering gifts to the children of those incarcerated at Christmas
